Still loving the podcast and the banter back and forth:) Two cents: I think Guy has it here. I/Many of us, will always have great affection for Dads Army and while I can watch the odd episode, it’s dated. Not ’edgey’. Allo Allo still is. And the boundaries it pushed couldn’t be pushed today, even more so actually, stereotyping and so on; as balanced to all nationalities and kindly meant as it was. Yes, also the period nature, the costumes and set - all frozen in time. Alchemy was right!
